LOCATION: BC region (Vancouver office)
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
In this position you are responsible for all sales and marketing activities for a specific region; however, as part of the Strategic Relations Team, this position would provide national support for all areas when needed. Implementing our Marketing Plan aimed at enhancing/expanding our partner base for Professional Liability, Commercial, Environmental, Construction, Personal and Recreational/Marine Line products. Supporting the underwriting team with their goals of high customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term corporate goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience
- Insurance experience an asset
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in all product areas (Personal, Commercial, Marine and Professional Lines).
- Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Dynamic personality and willingness to maintain professional appearance and conduct. Ability to leave a positive impression with brokers/agents.
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage, manage and expand relationships with our Distribution Partners in your designated territory including organizing, coordinating and conducting sales activities, such as office visits, in person and virtual training, meetings, and networking events.
- Develop and consistently act on a sales strategy schedule while keeping up to date records of activity.
- Managing database of qualified leads for the purposes of sales visits and promotional activity.
- Assists in the implementation of company promotional activities and the development/ implementation of webinars/seminars. This includes organizing and the management of marketing material/collateral (advising of shortages etc.). Booking, planning, and setting up educational webinars/seminars with the support of our existing team.
- Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects’ business problems.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Vehicle allowance provided (use of own vehicle) and the ability to travel (3-4 days per week “on the road” as well as needed to other regions to support events)
