The Opportunity!
HUB International has a dynamic Strategic Resource Assistant role based in our Chilliwack head office, reporting to the Strategic Resource Manager. A day in the life-
This position is crucial to our organization, driving its vitality by supporting our sales growth and retention initiatives. You will be led by the Strategic Resource Manager and will have direct exposure to working with our sales team, leadership and across divisions. The sales culture is fast paced so the individual for this role needs to be energetic, positive thinking and have problem solving capabilities without constant oversight. Some, but not all, the day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with various sales & marketing projects including, event planning, internal/external communications, marketing efforts, proofreading, organizing, and formatting database lists, data input of sales leads, and general administrative support. This position serves as both the first and last line of defense, ensuring the HUB brand is consistently presented with the high quality we strive for as an organization.
Additionally, you will be expected to be able to perform these tasks and utilize the appropriate software to execute. Training will be supplied but a proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products is expected:
Be a “power user” for MS Dynamics CRM (Customer Relationship Management) as customized for HUB (CORE), including troubleshooting, best practices and facilitating training for new sales producers in the use of the system.
Utilizing Excel to organize and display data as needed by leadership – Intermediate Level Skills Required
Prepare/create marketing materials including brochures, presentations, welcome kits, etc.
Assist with the preparation of sales proposals (RFPs).
Prepare and edit documents, presentations, and spreadsheets to include updated information and branding.
Word processing for various correspondence as directed.
Provide document support for various meetings and summits.
Generate and validate prospect lists and engage appropriate HUB sales contacts Collaboration with the Strategic Resource Managers on all aspects of sales enablement.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
What you will bring to the team-
You will be required to obtain a level 1 general insurance license during the course of employment.
2-5 years of relevant experience.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookup, graphs), PowerPoint, Outlook.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)

Strong attention to detail.
Creative critical thinker and problem solver, breaking complex issues into simple solutions.
Exceptional communicator with customers, sales teams, and technical resources
Highly organized master of multi-tasking with an inherent sense of urgency and handle confidential material.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.
Good rapport with Management and Producers – they are your customers!
Salary Expectations-
The expected salary range for this position is $38,000.00 to $45,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
