JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the business, technology, and regulatory requirements for your assigned commodities.
  • Collaborating with a globally distributed team in a dynamic environment.
  • Request for Quotations (RFQs), quote analysis, negotiations, and award covering parameters including pricing and availability.
  • Develops and utilizes supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools
  • Drive internal alignment with key stakeholders on topics including supply strategies, product requirements and specifications, and Statement of Work.
  • Monitor industry trends, identify gaps and risks, and recommend actions to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Provides input on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operations strategies.
  • Lead in execution of action plans as required to successfully qualify new supplier and ensure successful manufacturing transitions
  • Lead efforts in supplier performance improvement based on scorecards and internal metrics.
  • Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews involving other departments, as needed.
  • Work closely with the Engineering and Project Management teams on new product introduction to ensure alignment on expectations while highlighting roadblocks and developing solutions to overcome them.
  • Drive cost-reductions opportunities in conjunction with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Lead performance improvements using strong leadership skills and experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to lead the team and influence skills to drive change and accountability
  • Strong project management skills and a high level of ownership
  • Strong analytics and research skills
  • Excellent knowledge of global procurement processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, ERP (SAP preferred), and PLM (Agile preferred) systems.
  • Possess strong communications and interpersonal skills while able to work with multiple internal stakeholders to drive positive business results.
    Candidates must reside in Canada to be considered for this position.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Management, or Technology
  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management required.
