Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 45 years. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations and logistics management, business administration, purchasing, administration/commerce, and/or similar field;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position, including 5 years in a management position;
  • Experience in aviation (an asset);
  • Experience with Inuit communities (an asset);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (French-English);
  • Ability to work as part of a team, manage priorities with autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Rigor, professionalism and ethics in the performance of duties.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP Finance and CFO, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the sourcing strategy for the entire organization. Thanks to his leadership and expertise, he will collaborate with the various internal parties to develop medium and long-term procurement strategies, and will become the reference in terms of developing procurement-related processes, tools and solutions. Ultimately, the manager will have two main responsibilities, the procurement center of excellence responsible for strategies, and the management of a team responsible for centralized purchasing.

  • Develop procurement strategies by carrying out supplier selection, profile category development, supplier portfolio generation, market research, tendering and evaluation of supplier proposals for the entire organization.
  • Facilitate access to information, improving the availability of tools and systems, and providing technical and non-technical training.
  • Define and deploy financial performance management and strategic costing methods to optimize the organization’s cost structure.
  • Implement the necessary quality controls to produce consistent, high-quality and thorough deliverables.
  • Define and deploy reports for all stakeholders.
  • Define and deploy performance measures and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Assume responsibility for procurement-related processes, tools, technologies and knowledge management for the organization.
  • Maintain an innovative outlook and ensure continuous improvement of existing tools and processes;
  • Ultimately, manage team performance, provide coaching and mentoring.
