QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years in strategic sourcing/procurement with expertise across various indirect categories of spend.
- Experience with vendor agreements, including MSAs, SOWs and SLAs
- Experience in developing category strategies, vendor negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Experience handling conflict and negotiations
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial institutions and BECU’s regulatory environment
- Advanced PC skills, with an advanced knowledge and use of Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.)
- Strong change management skills
- Experience in leading the application of best practice sourcing skills.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to transform data into clear and relevant information.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Competitive Sourcing Processes: You’ll manage the end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and develop negotiation strategies that align with our business goals.
- Develop Negotiation Strategies: In collaboration with business units, you’ll create and execute negotiation strategies for various vendor engagements, whether competitively sourced, directly sourced, or single sourced.
- Serve as a Trusted Advisor: You’ll be the expert advisor to business units on all aspects of vendor relationships, from planning and due diligence to contract terms, vendor selection, SLA/performance monitoring, and termination.
- Create Vendor Category Strategies: Utilize spend analytics and market/vendor research to develop strategies that optimize our vendor portfolio, reduce spend, and support BECU’s strategic initiatives.
- Support VMO Peers: Assist in the vendor risk assessment and contracting process, ensuring all engagements align with our risk management policies.
