Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager on a permanent basis on our Procurement team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based in Saskatoon, SK, Regina, SK, Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

  • Have 8+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supply management and/or supplier management.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, economics, engineering or relevant field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have certificates in procurement, supply chain management, Lean/Six Sigma, or operations planning.
  • Experience with FCL categories/commodities is preferred.
  • Experience in contract/contractor management would be an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize data and analytical tools to support the identification of opportunities and action them to deliver organizational value. Understanding the impact of strategy on reducing the total cost of ownership of the goods and services to FCL is critical to success.
  • Develop short, medium and long-term category and sourcing strategies within an assigned portfolio of spend.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of sourcing and category management activities for enterprise-wide sourced goods and services of larger size and complexity.
  • Foster exceptional relationships with your category stakeholders ensuring the developed strategies deliver the maximum lifecycle value and meet business requirements. This will require exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Leverage and work closely with the Procurement Center of Excellence to develop, deploy and enhance procurement governance and digital tools to support advancing the procurement function at FCL.
    Who you’ll work with :
    You will provide guidance and leadership to Business Units on quality decision making, proper sourcing process, supplier management and category strategy development. This position will collaborate with relevant business stakeholders, other Strategic Sourcing Managers, senior leaders within the Procurement Department and the COE team member. You will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing and be part of a team that strives for a culture of innovation and resourcefulness.
