Description:
Role: Strategic Sourcing Manager
Contract type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 07.30 – 04.30
Location: Fareham
Qualifications Essential Skills and knowledge
- A qualified member of CIPSA.
- Knowledge of complex global supply chains.
- Experience of strategic sourcing within a manufacturing business ideally within the Steel fabrication OEM market, but not essential.
- Experience of working with technical and/or new product development teams and supporting NPD projects.
- An understanding of best practice end to end supply chain processes and associated benefits.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving targets
Experience:

Responsibilities:
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our client in Fareham.
The successful candidate will be key in building sustainable supplier relationships to benefit the business. You will define, implement and deliver a sourcing strategy managing the spend on manufactured products within our current tier 1 suppliers.
You must possess excellent communications skills and use these to build rapport and develop strong working relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
Overall Responsibilities
- Identifying, sourcing and on-boarding of new tier 1 suppliers to support the significant investment in new product development and projected business growth.
- Identify and implement process improvements that result in robust and sustainable sourcing solutions in line with our ISO accreditation.
- Manage risk exposure associated with the volatility of steel within the global marketplace.
- Identify and deliver financial benefits through cost-saving opportunities, through the development of our Tier 1 suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (Production, Finance, Commercial, Development and Business Leadership etc.) and understand business strategies and priorities.
- Ensure full compliance with company standards.
