POSITION SUMMARY

The Strategy Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Strategy team on strategic analysis, executive/board level reporting and the execution of cross-functional enterprise projects. This role presents the unique opportunity to contribute to analysis and outcomes that help shape HomeEquity Bank’s strategic direction and support senior executive and board-level decision making. This role requires a collaborative and strategic thinker, with experience in problem solving, research, and sophisticated financial / data analysis.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, analytics, or finance
  • Strong quantitative analysis and financial modelling skills
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and draw insights from data for strategic analysis
  • Ability to develop high-quality and concise materials and presentations
  • Previous experience in and/or demonstrated knowledge of financial services
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in relevant field (e.g., business, economics, finance)

Responsibilities:

REPORTING TO THE MANAGER OF STRATEGY, THIS ROLE WILL:

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Lead the preparation of data-driven analysis (i.e., research, data analytics, and financial analysis) and support in the development of executive-level presentations.
  • Financial Modelling: Support the development, use and maintenance of key financials models used for strategic analysis and operational initiatives.
  • Research: Analyze and synthesize data and information from various internal and external sources, including financial statements and market reports, to produce valuable business insights on market trends and competitive activity.
  • Initiative Execution: Support the execution of select strategic initiatives which may include the development of project plans, meeting materials, stakeholder coordination, project management, etc.
  • Executive & Board Reporting: Assist in the development of monthly and quarterly business performance reporting and annual plan development for executive leadership and the Board.
