Description:

Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Corporate Development this role will actively support the development of Trayport’s strategy and application of inorganic growth of Trayport globally through partnerships or M&A opportunities.
What you’ll be doing…

Partnerships:

  • Manage relationships with partners to build value to Trayport and our network.
  • Champion and manage new projects to create value and deliver on Trayports growth strategies.
  • Support the development of a standardised framework for managing, reporting and reviewing partners. Own the communication/application of this framework firmwide.
  • Liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate requirements and create synergy.

Corporate Development:

  • Target pipeline - perform market analysis, identify potential targets and provide periodic target analysis.
  • Provide the business leaders with regular market intelligence and strategic insights.
  • Support M&A transactions from origination to completion with particular focus on due diligence.
  • Support the creation and evaluation of financial models.
  • Support the preparation of senior management and board papers for project sign off or funding requests.
  • Support internal and external communications teams on deal announcements.
  • Support integration teams through effectively communicating and collaborating on strategic objectives and any risks, opportunities for immediate actions that come out of due diligence.

Strategy:

  • Work collaboratively to research, analyse strategic market trends and help identify future opportunities.
  • Report and track on market events that affect existing strategic themes.
  • Support and work collaboratively with the group strategy team on wider strategic objectives.
  • Support development of strategy.
  • Support development of presentation and communication of strategy to Board and Group senior management.
  • Support business development into new markets.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis, business cases and presentations.

What we are looking for…

  • Experience in managing partner or client relationships would be advantageous.
  • Strong numeracy skills with an understanding of M&A and valuation concepts and previous exposure to the corporate development process.
  • Experience developing strategic analysis, conducting market research and compiling actionable benchmarks drawing on various internal and external data sources.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills with ability to build relationships across all levels and influence senior management.
  • Intellectual curiosity, able to prioritise competing initiatives and see yourself thriving in a fast-moving business.
