Description:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DATA ANALYSIS & INTERPRETATION:Ability to work with data, understand business metrics, and derive meaningful insights from quantitative and qualitative information. This includes proficiency in Excel or similar data tools to analyze performance data.
  • KPI DEVELOPMENT:Experience or knowledge in defining and structuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with business objectives, ensuring they are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT:Basic understanding of project management principles to coordinate the rollout of the measurement tool. Skills in task prioritization, timeline management, and following through with deliverables will be crucial.
  • STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION:Strong interpersonal and communication skills to align with various stakeholders across departments, ensuring that the KPIs and the tool are well understood and adopted by the teams.
  • TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:Familiarity with dashboard or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or any strategy execution software is a plus. Ability to assist in the technical aspects of rolling out such a tool (e.g., configuration, customization).
  • ATTENTION TO DETAIL:Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in KPI setup and that the measurement tool functions as expected, capturing relevant data without errors.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative team player with intercultural awareness and the ability to engage with stakeholders across different regions and functions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or related fields. Enrolled in or recent graduate of a Master’s program in business, logistics, or strategy-related disciplines preferred.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional language skills such as German are a plus.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE:

The Strategy Intern will support the development and implementation of DHL Global Forwarding’s (DGF) strategy, contributing to strategic planning and management of key initiatives. This role will assist in aligning the business functions with the company’s strategic direction and in communicating this vision effectively across various stakeholders. The intern will gain hands-on experience in strategy execution, project management, and global business operations within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
