The team
The Regulation & Supervision (R&S) Business Management Unit (BMU) is the team responsible for directing and supporting business management and support services for R&S. This team works closely with the R&S Executive Director, Senior Executives and Senior Managers to deliver integrated and timely central management services and to ensure these services are delivered in line with R&S and ASIC wide priorities.
The role
Responsibilities:
- The management and development of the R&S business plan and associated analysis and representation.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance and delivery of the R&S business plans to inform decision making and support the achievement of strategic priorities.
- Partnering with regulatory teams to contribute to speeches, presentations, submissions, and internal policies.
- Identifying and facilitating process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
- Developing strategic relationships, acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership for data and information opportunities, offering executive level guidance on prioritisation and decision making through enterprise-wide visibility.
- Contributing to the management of resource planning and allocation across the group in collaboration with R&S leadership.
- Implementation of project management principles to effectively embed systems and processes to manage and monitor the delivery of group regulatory priorities.
- Encouraging a supportive and cooperative culture by enhancing awareness of workflows, priorities and addressing capacity where possible.
- Mentoring and training as required of team members to foster team development, encourage high performance, and ensure the delivery of priorities.
About you
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Demonstrated senior business partnering skills, with the credibility to operate at all levels and earn the trust of colleagues.
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis, project management and process improvement.
- Strategic thinking, analytical, investigative and research skills, including data analysis and presentation.
- An understanding of the benefits in developing strategic relationships that partner to ensure the effective use of all available data and information opportunities.
- Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as drawing reasoned influences from qualitative and quantitative data and to reach robust and practical conclusions.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills including business case development, data analysis and insight, and report writing.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills as evidenced through experience at a senior management level.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting data for decision making and to solve problems, coupled with strong business acumen.
- Experience exercising discretion and sound judgement to select the most appropriate solution and to implement in an operational environment.
- Ability to document business requirements and processes, with a keen eye for detail.
- Commitment to service orientation, continuous improvement, and data and research quality standards.
