Position: Street Patrol Security Officer (AD HOC), Night Shifts
Hourly Rate: £13.15 - £14.74* (*Pay rate inclusive of holiday pay)
Schedule: AD HOC Night Shifts
Location: Westminster
FGH Security is looking for a highly motivated Street Patrol Security Officer to join our team in Westminster. As a Street Patrol Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and security by patrolling designated areas and deterring criminal activities. You will interact with the community, respond to incidents, and enforce regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, visitors, and businesses within Westminster.
MAIN DUTIES
- Conduct routine patrols on foot or in designated areas of West End BID to prevent and detect suspicious activities, crime, or potential threats.
- Maintain high visibility and approachability while patrolling, ensuring the presence of a reliable security presence to deter criminal activities.
- Engage in proactive surveillance and observation techniques to identify potential security risks, including suspicious individuals, vehicles, or objects, and promptly report them to the appropriate authorities.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established protocols and taking appropriate action to mitigate risks or threats.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with the public, residents, and businesses in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their inquiries, concerns, or requests for assistance.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and security policies within the assigned patrol area, taking appropriate actions to prevent violations and maintain public order.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents, share information, and ensure effective communication.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed reports on incidents, observations, patrols, and any other security-related activities, adhering to established documentation procedures via dedicated reporting system
AN SIA DOOR SUPERVISION LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.

- Previous Street Patrol Experience – Desirable
- Previous security experience – 2 years
- Excellent observational and surveillance skills, with the ability to identify potential risks, threats, or suspicious activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the public, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Physical fitness and the ability to walk or stand for extended periods, as well as handle physically demanding tasks when required.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English
