The Street Works Senior Team Leader role is an essential part of the Street Works team who carry out the wide-ranging statutory duties to co-ordinate and manage works carried out by the Council, its agents, utility companies, developers and Transport Authorities.
As a Street Works Senior Team Leader you will be the direct day to day operations management of the team in place to fulfil the Network Management Duty of Salford City Council. Your overall objectives will be to monitor and action outputs against agreed performance indicators and report back to the Senior Management detailing actions and solutions.
Be the point of contact in respect of carbon savings from reduction of waste materials and movement to appropriate teams, senior officers, and city mayor. Maintain a register of compliant materials for use across the NW ensuring ongoing compliance with regular testing and spot-visits to recycling plants
Take a leading role in the North West highways and Utility Committee and the Joint Authorities Group ensuring Salford has a leading voice within the Street Works arena.
The role requires you to liaise with clients, stakeholders, statutory bodies, and the public, Deputise for Group Engineer undertaking monitoring of team finance and income targets and developing strategies for continuous improvement and efficiencies.
