About the role
We have a vacancy within our Street Works Team for a Street Works Technician The post is a permanent contract based at Glanyrafon Depot, Aberystwyth or Penrhos Depot, Llandysul.
The post holder will be responsible for monitoring notices and issuing licences on the Street Works Management System as required by the New Roads and Street Works Act & Traffic Management Act 2004.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- assess and review works notices received through the Electronic Transmission of Notices (EToN) system used by undertakers and their contractors
- assist in the delivery of business and customer service systems, delivering a high-quality service for customers and achieve legislative requirements
- monitor compliance/coordination activities to ensure targets and performance improvements are met
We are looking to recruit an individual who:
- is flexible and able to work under pressure
- has good ICT skills including Word, Excel (or equivalent) and other ICT packages
- has good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- has good knowledge of highway maintenance practice
The post requires a limited degree of fluency in the Welsh language.
