Description:
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Structural Inspector for a 6 week contract in Poland. The person will be responsible for assessing and inspecting the integrity, safety, and compliance of industrial buildings/ The role involves conducting on-site evaluations, performing inspections, and recording the current condition of building structures
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Inspections:
o Conduct thorough inspections of structural components of buildings,
o Evaluate the condition of structures and identify any signs of wear, corrosion, cracks, or other issues.
o Check for adherence to building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
2. Reporting and Documentation:
o Prepare detailed inspection reports, highlighting any defects or non-compliance with safety standards.
o Take photographs and measurements to document structural conditions.
o Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and recommendations for repairs or improvements.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with engineers at head office who can provide direction and guidance if necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural inspection or a related field.
o Experience with construction materials, design plans, and safety regulations.
- Skills:
o Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
o Ability to identify and analyze potential risks and defects in structures.
o Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Physical ability to perform on-site inspections, including climbing, walking, and carrying equipment.
