Job Description
Based in the Montreal or Quebec City office, the candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and industrial structural studies. You will be involved at various levels of responsibility, on small, medium and large regional, provincial and national projects.
You’ll collaborate with other members of your highly qualified team to develop solutions tailored to customer needs. You’ll grow quickly in an environment where accountability, autonomy and trust are strongly encouraged.
You’ll be involved in all stages of projects that will reshape the face of Quebec, while benefiting from a hybrid work mode (telecommuting, worksites, office).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent, specializing in structures.
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • 10+ years’ experience in structural design (steel, concrete and wood)
  • Ability to work on different projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
  • Construction site health and safety certificate (ASP card)

Responsibilities:

  • Design varied and complex projects
  • Develop technical solutions
  • Produce plans and specifications
  • Attend design and site meetings
  • Participate in construction supervision activities
  • Determine construction costs and quantities in accordance with standard methods and established plans and specifications
  • Conduct studies and write technical reports
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of engineers, technicians and draftsmen assigned to projects
  • Ensure coordination between stakeholders
  • Provide technical support to various customers
  • Produce project schedules
  • Monitor project schedules and finances
