About the Role

Meinhardt is looking at growing our team of Engineers o join our Property & Buildings division in Brisbane:

  • Structural Engineers,
  • Senior Structural Engineers
  • Associate Structural Engineers

This role will focus on supporting the delivery of engineering services for our structural team, including structural analysis and design as well as the provision of input to the preparation of proposals, feasibilities, and reports. You will be responsible for providing discipline-specific technical input across all facets of projects, from the initial client inquiry through to project completion. This role will be suitable for someone with strong technical skills and experience within the Brisbane market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and design including sketch and other inputs for project documentation.
  • Carry out site inspections and represent the company at project meetings when required.
  • Ensuring all necessary quality administration procedures are carried out to achieve efficient operations and prompt delivery of projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project feasibilities and concept designs,
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of tender submissions, and project proposals when required.
  • Provide high quality client service delivery in accordance with Meinhardt quality standards.
  • Report to senior staff and monitor performance of projects against agreed fees/budgets.
  • Liaise with other staff, project teams, stakeholders and assist in maintaining client relationships.

Skills & Experience
In addition to the duties outlined above the candidate, ideally a mid-level professional, should be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Our ideal candidate would also have:

-2 -3 years’ experience (progression towards RPEQ and MIEAust would be highly regarded)

  • Proven exposure to projects in the property & building industry, within Brisbane. (experience in the SE Queensland market would be highly regarded).
  • Proficiency in Ram Concept, RAPT, Spacegass, Reinforced and post-tension concrete and Steel design (Etabs knowledge would be advantageous)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD and Revit in order to work with Draftspersons.
  • Experience inspecting structural works on site.
  • Australian driver’s licence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable dealing with other project stakeholders and attending project meeting when required .
