We are looking for an experienced
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
to work in Ponsse Technology, R&D team in Finland.

In this role, you will be part of the simulation expert team that supports the entire R&D organization, including software, mechanics, and technology concepts. The team’s goal is to accelerate time to market and ensure high quality and performance of products through simulation-driven engineering, analysis, and virtual verification/validation.
Your role will mainly focus on mechanical FE-analysis and expert tasks related to structural product development and challenges with forest machines. You will collaborate mainly with mechanical design teams, the measurement team, software development teams, and the simulator development team.
Required qualifications in this role:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, automation, software engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with mechanical simulations, preferably in the field of non-road mobile machines
- Proficiency in FE-analysis and modern CAE tools such as Ansys (or other modern FE-software)
- Knowledge and experience in fatigue analysis (including welding and base materials) and materials (castings and steel structures)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a motivation to develop oneself in an expert role
- Ability to support team well-being and collaboration
- Proficiency in both English and Finnish

Your working location will be in Finland Vieremä, Tampere, Kuopio or Kajaani, but we are working hybrid model.
