Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a 2-year fixed-term contract position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa to our Cannington Operation – up to 25% work from home arrangement.
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the integrity of the Cannington Blueprint, providing specialised structural and civil engineering expertise. Manage modifications and projects in line with established processes, standards, and targets for HSEC, quality, and cost.
OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT AREN’T LIMITED TO:
- Deliver specialised Structural and Civil Engineering expertise, guiding organisational strategy on business risks, technology, and best practices
- Execute design, analysis, inspection, verification, and remediation of new and existing Steel and Concrete structures
- Create and uphold asset management plans for critical structural and civil assets at South32 Worsley Alumina
- Assist in developing maintenance strategies for new equipment and infrastructure
