JOB DESCRIPTION
AECOM are currently recruiting for experienced Structural Revit Technician to join our Manchester office based in the recently constructed new 100 Embankment, in Manchester City Centre. AECOM’s workload has remained robust throughout recent world events. This opportunity has arisen in our Building & Places Business Unit due to the continued growth and project opportunities working across the UK and overseas.
Some of the sectors we specialise in include healthcare, education, aviation, major commercial build and fit out projects, large mixed use, and industrial developments.
This is a great opportunity to play a significant part on future construction projects across the UK, and across worldwide locations.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge and experience of authoring applications such as such as Revit to produce data rich BIM models.
- Ability to prepare models, drawings and details fit for purpose.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD desirable
- Awareness of relevant BIM documentation to allow implementation of AECOM best practice procedures and protocols.
- Ability to implement BIM Standards with moderate support.
- Awareness of Eurocodes, British standards and other relevant national and international industry standards and procedures.
- An awareness of cloud-based applications for sharing/reviewing models).
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently within a Project team
- An interest in achieving IStructE & EngTech status
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant qualification such as HNC
Responsibilities:
- Produce 3D BIM models and 2D drawings at all stages, including concept, tender and construction.
- Deliver projects and work to set deadlines with moderate supervision.
- Ability to plan your own workload and communicate information flow requirements with others.
- Mentoring and supervision of one apprentice level technician
- Demonstrate strong communication and personal effectiveness skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Collaborate with the other disciplines (Architect and MEP engineer etc) to deliver projects to a high standard
- Ensure proper QA/QC protocols are implemented.
- Performing work to an agreed budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
- Maintaining outstanding technical quality.
