Description:

STRUCTURAL TECHNICIAN

We have an exciting new opportunity at PCE for a Structural Technician to join our Design Team, based at PCEs Head Office in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
Structural Technicians are responsible for creating 3D models using Revit, also creating 2D GAs directly from the model. All models and drawings are to be produced in conjunction with the PCE quotation, scope and deliverables, and also in line with our clients requirements. The role holder must work in accordance with project programmes and budget, whilst updating senior / lead technician of progress on a daily /weekly basis. Structural Technicians are expected to be point of contact with client team such as Architects and Design Managers for technical aspects pertaining to their work. All design work carried out, must be done in line with company procedures and delivered on digital platforms.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant experience.
  • Relative experience and knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD or chosen software, to produce efficient, accurate and detailed models and drawings.
  • Ability to read drawings and understand information with which to utilize and create suitable models and drawings.
  • Comfortable working alone at times as well as part of a team to deliver aspects of a Design
  • Ability to liaise with others both internally and externally to gain information where necessary.
  • Knowledge of best practice required and ability to gather information to allow delivery of task.
  • Attention to detail when producing models and drawings.
  • Ability to self-check.
  • Proven record of producing information in line with specification and other control documents.
  • Awareness of time management, to allow design outputs to be achieved.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of BIM.
