Dewberry is seeking a Structures Staff Engineer (Bridge) interested in developing their career to join our structures department in Rancho Cordova, CA. The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures). The candidate will be involved assisting in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, field inspections, and performing construction design support services.

Required Skills & Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Possession of an EIT certificate is required (PE is preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects.
- Experience designing transportation related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards.
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments.
- Preference for knowledge of CTBridge, CSiBridge, VBent, CTAbut, LPile, and/or similar analysis programs.
- Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated and detail oriented with desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients.
