POSITION SUMMARY

One temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant position in the Art Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of some Printmaking processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of ADOBE Photoshop and illustrator and Video Editing Software.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in consultation with faculty and staff, schedule visiting artists, maintain consistent communication and provide on-site support and hospitality as allowed.
  • Assist in coordinating with Faculty and Visiting Artists on material needs Track and maintain supply inventories and requests for all programming.
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials and announcements for all virtual workshops and printing events.
  • Assist with preparation of digital files for output in the fab lab as needed including the laser cutter and CNC router. Some training will be provided as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating with faculty and staff on all programmatic needs, including but not limited to supplies, scheduling virtual lectures, AV needs, etc.

Other duties as assigned.
