JOB DESCRIPTION:

The SLFD Payroll Associate will be responsible for providing a complete range of compensation and payroll services for the Sun Life Financial Distribution (SFLD) Advisors

Responsibilities:

  • Verification and validation of transactions processed by other teams within Distribution Compensation
  • Handle manual calculation and adjustment of commissions and bonuses as required
  • Update M2 and/or EIM system for manual commission calculations, error corrections and adjustments
  • Handle pay related health checks and audits
  • Respond to payroll related inquiries from advisors, managers as well as other individuals and teams within head office including external business partners
  • Administer tax demands and garnishments by calculating and processing required transactions
  • Administer tax deductions for the SLFD Advisors and remittance of tax installments to CRA
  • Processing of special pay deposits for missed commissions when appropriate
  • Investigates and resolve errors, variances or accounting discrepancies
  • Investigates unprocessed activities/system messages on a daily basis and takes appropriate action, as per established procedures. All necessary adjustments must be done within the established time frames to meet payroll deadlines
  • Monitors and investigates the collection of the advisor debt balances
