JOB DESCRIPTION:
The SLFD Payroll Associate will be responsible for providing a complete range of compensation and payroll services for the Sun Life Financial Distribution (SFLD) Advisors
Responsibilities:
- Verification and validation of transactions processed by other teams within Distribution Compensation
- Handle manual calculation and adjustment of commissions and bonuses as required
- Update M2 and/or EIM system for manual commission calculations, error corrections and adjustments
- Handle pay related health checks and audits
- Respond to payroll related inquiries from advisors, managers as well as other individuals and teams within head office including external business partners
- Administer tax demands and garnishments by calculating and processing required transactions
- Administer tax deductions for the SLFD Advisors and remittance of tax installments to CRA
- Processing of special pay deposits for missed commissions when appropriate
- Investigates and resolve errors, variances or accounting discrepancies
- Investigates unprocessed activities/system messages on a daily basis and takes appropriate action, as per established procedures. All necessary adjustments must be done within the established time frames to meet payroll deadlines
- Monitors and investigates the collection of the advisor debt balances
