Are you looking for a working student position, a specialist internship or a student thesis (Bachelor, Master, Diploma) in the field of the future of our mobility? We offer you exciting topics in the field of developing electric or electrified powertrain systems for electric vehicles.
Your Tasks:
- You design electric drive or drivetrain systems and are responsible for the (further) development of calculation concepts for the characterization of electric machines.
- You specialize in the electromagnetic design of electric traction and auxiliary drives, especially in the field of automotive applications.
- You will carry out numerical FEM calculations (2D, 3D) to analyze and solve electromagnetic, mechanical and thermal problems in drive systems.
- You will design and simulate power electronic circuits.
- You will program calculation models and automation solutions to enable complex analyses and controls in drive systems.
- You will investigate electrotechnical phenomena in electrical drive systems at voltages above 800V.
- You will be responsible for the concept design of drive systems and electronic circuits and their components.
- You will carry out investigations into the use of new materials in electric drive systems.
- Your work will include market and technology research.

Necessary Skills:
- Ongoing studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or similar engineering courses, e.g. specializing in energy, drive, vehicle or automation technology, as well as physics or mathematics
- Systematic and independent way of working, good basic technical knowledge and a high level of commitment and creativity
- Interest in challenging development tasks
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of magnetic FEM calculations, a CAD environment and Matlab/Python
- Basic knowledge of the operation and design of electrical machines
- English language skills at B1 level
Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current hourly rate for this position is EUR 17.52.
