ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Students who excel in this position enjoy problem solving and helping others to succeed. Communication and recognition of Continuous Improvement (CI) successes is central to the position.
This role supports our ATS sites and their Continuous Improvement teams and is responsible for developing and sustaining CI standards across the segment, primarily focused in Europe and North America. The Intern will be exposed to Continuous Improvement principles, systems and tools, and will have the opportunity to learn from experienced team members as well as through direct participation in CI activity. The candidate will also support and lead regional CI programs and will have the opportunity to learn about and engage with a variety of sites, customers, and businesses. The Intern in this role will enjoy a varied, stimulating and challenging work environment in a highly motivated team. We are looking for a team player who is able to learn quickly, is self-motivated, and has excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office/Google
- Strong communication skills, especially written
- Excellent collaboration, problem solving and teamwork skills
- Flexible and self-motivated
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, PowerBI, dashboarding or website design an asset
- Awareness of Continuous Improvement, Lean and Six Sigma is an asset
