Description

Are you a student that wants to gain a bit more experience on the side? Do you prefer to work with a bit more freedom and variety? Always wondered how it is to work in an innovative tech company? Then this is your unique chance.

BRINGING THE LAB TO THE SAMPLE!

To be certain whether food is safe to sell in the supermarket or whether there someone is carrying dangerous substances in the airport, samples are taken to the lab for verification. These tests normally require much time, effort, and money in order to take measurements in the lab.
Next Generation Sensors aims to bring the lab to the sample instead, by developing the Handheld Molecular Contaminant Screener (HMCS). A mass spectrometer is portable and takes samples within minutes on the spot. With its user-friendly interface, the HMCS will be usable for everyone without prior training. The HMCS can be applied to tackle many of today’s global issues, including food safety, airport security, and combating drug trade. We work in a small, yet growing team of various nationalities and disciplines.
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician Intern. For this internship, you will be assisting the R&D team in the laboratory. The tasks can be diverse from taking multiple experiments and measurements with different techniques to joining for pilot studies on the field. In addition, will you be assisting the lab team all around in a variety of projects we currently work on. This internship is very practical-oriented, providing you with that extra experience besides your study.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Student in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar
  • Availability of 2-3 days per week.
  • Knowledge of MS and IR. Practical experience is a plus.
