Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
- Complete Continuous Improvement projects (Kaizens) on projects to improve safety, quality and machine availability (uptime) and performance as assigned by Engineering Manager.
- Supporting work instructions for the manufacturing and injection processes in the plant
- Following weekly and monthly production reports using the everyday production data
- Assist as required the Industrial Engineering team in time studies and data collection across the plant for process improvement projects.
- Assist engineering teams in project management for the plant projects (6-axis robot installations) and product launches.
- Occasional weekend work may be required in order to support engineering, facilities and/or production requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge/Skill/Experience):
- Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Previous experience in manufacturing an asset
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Engineering team the candidate will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and assist / lead with a multitude of engineering projects.
