Description:
The Student Marketing Team is growing! We’re looking for a creative and ambitious marketing professional to join our team at The University of Manchester.
As our new Student Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be taking a hands-on role to support the team’s work in delivering campaigns, content and communications for prospective student audiences.
You’ll commission and create content for a range of digital channels, support the development of marketing plans to aid student recruitment, and strengthen our communications with prospective students at all stages of the applicant journey.
Working within the central Directorate of Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment, you’ll have a great network of colleagues and specialists in marketing and comms, data and analytics, insight, design and content to collaborate with. You’ll also work closely with our faculty marketing and recruitment teams, International Office and admissions teams across the wider university.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong practical skills in content production and/or editing (e.g. podcasts, video, social content, photography) and confidence to work with and coach other content creators, including students.
- An understanding of the marketing funnel and experience delivering multi-channel marketing activity to drive engagement and action.
- Experience of using data and audience insight to develop marketing activity, including establishing goals and undertaking analysis/reporting.
- Experience of using CRM systems and email marketing software to create personalised and targeted email communications and/or customer journeys.
- Strong communication skills including writing, proofing and editing copy, delivering presentations, actively participating in meetings and project teams and liaising with stakeholders to gather project input/feedback.
- A good understanding of youth audiences and interest in adapting to and experimenting with emerging trends, insights and channels.
- An ability to work proactively and think creatively to find solutions to challenges.
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and an interest in social responsibility and sustainable marketing.
- An interest in Higher Education, although experience of working in the sector isn’t necessary.
