EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

A current Olds College student who is willing and able to balance a full course schedule with a part-time job. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to the Olds College community. The candidate should be detail-oriented and able to work well independently after being given guidance. Strong relationship building skills, communication and collaboration skills, and problem solving abilities are essential for this role.
An interest in and experience with intercultural communications is desirable.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • This role may be required to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, preparing for, and attending recruitment and student experience events, both in-person and virtually.
  • Develop relationships with prospective students, admitted students, and current students, and clearly communicate information about program options and navigating the post-secondary system and student services.
  • Manage meeting bookings and scheduling webinars for the International team.
  • Respond to student inquiries, at events, via telephone follow up, through email, and other sources as required.
  • Assist with the review and updating of existing best-practice guides, inventory, presentation slides and other marketing materials, such as virtual newsletters and event posters.
  • Review data and statistics from previous years to assist with the development of the student experience plan for the upcoming year. Suggest areas of focus for in-person and virtual efforts based on previous years’ data.
  • Create newsletter templates and various tracking documents in preparation for the upcoming year. Cultivate technical proficiency in various online platforms, including Google suite, Canva, Zoom and Simplycast.
  • Conduct campus tours for prospective students and other stakeholders.
  • Other duties as required.
