Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

To work as a Student Placement Broadcast Support Engineer, providing support to the various broadcast facilities operated by NEP Connect and its clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience in at least some of the following specific technologies: Avid/EVS, production switchers, broadcast cameras, AV routers, audio mixers, modular infrastructure “glue
  • Ability and competence to evaluate technical problems using appropriate Broadcast test and measurement equipment
  • Imaginative approach to problem solving
  • Good understanding of video and audio broadcast systems
  • Good IT skills
  • Team working
  • To keep the Broadcast Support Team Leader/Production/NOC Staff appraised of the status of any issues, as appropriate
  • To log all faults and irregularities and pass information between team members
  • To carry out first and second line support to all broadcast areas
  • To assist with in-house broadcast project and installation work
  • Performance of preventative maintenance as necessary
  • Ensure system documentation is up to date
  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry best practice
