REQUIRED
- Good understanding of communication systems including mobile and fixed links (terrestrial and satellite)

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
To work as a Student Placement Broadcast Support Engineer, providing support to the various broadcast facilities operated by NEP Connect and its clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience in at least some of the following specific technologies: Avid/EVS, production switchers, broadcast cameras, AV routers, audio mixers, modular infrastructure “glue
- Ability and competence to evaluate technical problems using appropriate Broadcast test and measurement equipment
- Imaginative approach to problem solving
- Good understanding of video and audio broadcast systems
- Good IT skills
- Team working
- To keep the Broadcast Support Team Leader/Production/NOC Staff appraised of the status of any issues, as appropriate
- To log all faults and irregularities and pass information between team members
- To carry out first and second line support to all broadcast areas
- To assist with in-house broadcast project and installation work
- Performance of preventative maintenance as necessary
- Ensure system documentation is up to date
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry best practice
