Description:
STUDENT RECEPTION
- Provide a comprehensive reception service, taking queries from all stakeholders and dealing with general enquiries face to face or by telephone; taking messages or referring matters to the appropriate person.
- Responsible for the supervision of a Student Receptionist daily.
- Assist with student welfare duties, looking after sick students, liaising with parents / carers and relevant staff, dealing with complex student matters, investigate and resolve any lunch account queries etc.
- Keep confiscated items stored securely. Returning them to the owner in accordance with the School Policy.
- Be responsible for the storage, housekeeping, returning and/or disposal of lost property.
- Supporting the Pastoral team with the daily detention system. Running accurate reports and communicating with parents and staff regarding the detention register for the day.
- Taking responsibility of understanding and having the knowledge of if / when students have completed the correct detention and ensuring that the correct sanctions are followed up.
- Administrating the debt management of student lunch accounts. Following and implementing the process by working alongside Year Leaders or discussing with parents / students to resolve the matters.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and retrieve data relating to students onto the SIMS.net database and other software packages as directed. Produce statistical reports from SIMS.net and other database packages;
- Responsible for monitoring and keeping up-to-date the Academy communication system in order to ensure full effectiveness and efficiency;
- Provide general administrative support, undertaking typing, and be proficient in using Microsoft packages.
- To act as Fire Warden and ensure visitors are accounted for during any emergency.
- Provide first aid assistance to staff, students and visitors as and when necessary.
- Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with the changing needs of the organisation such as acting as key holder to administration offices, ensuring lock down processes are in line with our security / operating procedures daily.
