Description:
The Pension Research Centre (PeRCent) PeRCent at Department of Finance is looking to hire a Student Research Assistant, who is interested in supporting our research in household finance. The task will mainly be to analyze firm and household level data, for example w.r.t. decisions on savings, pension, housing, investments in securities, mortgages and other credit, etc.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
To support our research, we are looking for a student of economics, finance, or a related field. Main tasks include various analyzes and statistics based on microdata (register data). We therefore prefer applicants with a solid foundation in econometrics and statistics. As the majority of the work involves analyzes of register data experience with microeconometrics will be an advantage, but not a requirement. A solid understanding of Microsoft Office skills, notably in Excel is required. Familiarity with analytical software like STATA and R is also expected. Finally, exceptional academic performance, self-reliance, and a proactive learning approach are highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll engage in diverse tasks such as conducting literature reviews, supporting data collection and analysis, crafting research presentations, and participating in PeRCent’s educational events. The workload is 15 hours per week on average, but there is a large degree of flexibility, not least during exam periods.
