POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Student Success Officer is responsible for coordinating and administrative support for the Student Success Centre Four month contract with the possibility of extension
QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma
Minimum 3 years experience providing office support in an educational setting, including handling OSR’s
Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Salary Band: Level 5 $49,906 to $74,860

Responsibilities:
Primary contact for all communications with students, parents/guardians, faculty, and staff for the Student Success Centre
Composes and sends communication to students, parents/guardians regarding upcoming events related to the Student Success Centre
Schedules, organizes and executes all events related to Student Success including New Student Orientation Day, University Dialogue Evenings, Student events and Parent/Guardian Information Evenings
Manage active calendar appointments for Director of Student Success and Academic Guidance Counsellors
Gather data and generate reports for current students and graduates
Record all summer school and online learning marks on transcripts
Assists in the management of summer school roll-out, enrolment and record keeping
Maintains and files documentation (including report cards) into the OSR for all students
Inputs credits for all students including new students to the College
Supports the VP Academic Administration with timetabling and exam scheduling
Facilitate selection of tutorial groups and leaders for all new students and enter information into the database
Work closely with Admissions in setting up face-to-face or Google Meet appointments for incoming students to complete course selections
Assists with the inputting of students’ option choices for students new to the school and assists with course changes
Assigns a “house” for all new students to the College and inputs data into the system
Adds new teachers to classes when required
Provides back up and assistance to the senior school administrator whenever necessary (i.e. curriculum night, parent/student/teacher interviews) and acts as backup to cover vacations/absences and lunch
Assist the academic counsellors with compiling scholarship information and applications, and sends all information by a specified deadline
Co-ordinates and executes all Advanced Placement Exams, is the AP Co-ordinator for the Senior School
Maintains and files documentation (including report cards) into the OSR for all students
Composes and types routine correspondence
Arranges meetings, prepares and circulates agendas as they relate to Student Success
Responsible for opening, sorting and distributing mail for the Student Success Centre
Performs other assigned comparable duties which are within the area of knowledge and skills required by the job description
