QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or related fields, with a preference for roles focused on student engagement, academic advising, or case management.
- Experience with Salesforce and the Canvas Learning Management System preferred

- Empathy and sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds and challenges;
- Resourcefulness in sourcing and managing support services and resources for students facing barriers;
- Proven ability to organize workshops, community events, and educational programs that foster student engagement and a sense of belonging;
- Skills in facilitating training sessions and workshops addressing barriers to student success;
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with students and staff and providing guidance and support;
- Skilled in analyzing student performance and retention data, identifying trends, and informing program enhancements to support student success;
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects, maintaining documentation, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Familiarity with project and case management systems, including Canvas, Google Workspace, Salesforce, ASANA, and more;
- Strong teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to projects and the ability to delegate, problem-solve, and communicate effectively within a team setting;
- A self-starter who seeks personal and professional development opportunities, continually improving engagement strategies.
Compensation and Benefits
- $60,000-$72,000 per year (New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary closer to the start of the range depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role)

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Innovation Fellowship Program Manager, the Student Success Specialist is responsible for the persistence and success of each student at TKH. The Student Success Specialist supports students’ recruitment experience, onboarding, persistence, and graduation. Their central focus is coaching students around self-management skills and connecting them with supportive services and resources to remove barriers. They do this through case management meetings with students to review progress toward program completion and professional and personal goals. They communicate expectations, course schedules, and student assignments throughout the program. They also collect and report student persistence and performance data to inform the team about student needs for particular interventions and/or further support.
