Description:

ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT DATA & ANALYTICS, AND WANT TO HELP US BUILD A DATA-DRIVEN CULTURE FOR DIGITAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AT THE LEGO GROUP?

We are looking for a Student Worker in our Data, Analytics & Business Improvement team to help us build new ways of understanding how our consumers interact with LEGO websites and apps.
Working as a part of our Digital Consumer Engagement function (DCE), this role plays a critical part in our ambition to build direct and lasting relationships with our consumers through the creation of an immersive set of experiences aimed at increasing LEGO love among our fans.

PLAY YOUR PART IN OUR TEAM SUCCEEDING

The DCE Data, Analytics & Business Improvement team is an Analytics & Performance Improvement practice within the LEGO Group’s Digital Consumer Engagement (DCE) function. Our focus is on establishing two-way, long lasting and meaningful relationships with our consumers and shoppers, and we believe that the ethical, transparent, and effective use of consumer data is key to this ambition. You will be working at the core of our digital product teams, building our data analytics infrastructure and providing analysis & recommendations to continually improve our consumers’ experience within our digital ecosystem. Some of the products in our digital ecosystem include LEGO.com, LEGO Ideas, kids.LEGO.com, the LEGO Play app, and the LEGO Building Instructions app.
For this role we are seeking an entrepreneurial student worker who wants to bring their passion for data to our team to help us shape the future of how we approach analytics at the LEGO Group. This role will involve a mix of web & app tracking implementation, data engineering, data quality management, and documentation / communication in order to help non-technical stakeholders across the business understand the world of analytics in a simple way. Across these areas, there will be many opportunities to develop hands-on skills across multiple domains of data & analytics.
We are at an exciting stage of our Digital Transformation at the LEGO Group, and this role will help improve our understanding of how consumers behave across our ecosystem of digital touchpoints. You will help make a difference to our digital experience by ensuring that anyone who works on creating experiences for our consumers are grounded in accurate, easy to interpret, and impactful data on how consumers behave and what they want from us. If you are passionate about human behaviour, digital product analytics, and user journey research, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Support analytics managers in the team with the implementation of user and audience behaviour tracking across our digital touchpoints, ensuring the right mix of known and unknown usage tracking is available in line with the LEGO Group’s policies around the ethical and transparent use of opted-in consumer data.
  • Build dashboards and self-serve reporting capabilities for different user groups in the company, tailoring reports for the unique data & insight needs of each group (via PowerBI and/or similar data visualisation tools).
  • Work with a cross-functional data & analytics team to create well structured, easily accessible data sources that can be used for downstream reporting and analysis (via SQL and Pyton, within Databricks).
  • Build a series of communication assets to explain the different tools, services, and methodologies available from the Data, Analytics & Business Improvement team to understand user behaviour – Build and maintain our internal knowledge repositories, Sharepoint pages, and outbound newsletters / updates to help people across the company keep their finger on the pulse of how our digital product portfolio is performing.
  • Carry out ad-hoc analysis on digital product performance, user journey analysis, and marketing / content effectiveness, to help our business understand which touchpoints and tactics are driving the greatest value for the business (and why).
  • Support our team test and learn agenda by continually exploring new methodologies, data sources, and insight partners that will enable us to get a more holistic view of the consumer & shopper.
