Description:

Marshall Canada requires a Sub-Contract Specialist in Ottawa, ON to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Purchasing and Supply Chain, the Sub-Contract Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and services across the supply chain. This position supports the Subcontract Managers and Project Managers in their interactions with suppliers, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost objectives, and quality standards. The Sub-Contract Specialist facilitates communication, tracks progress and contributes to the overall success of the supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Support: Assist Subcontract Manager and Project Managers in managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues and align expectations.
  • Procurement Coordination: Coordinate procurement activities, including purchase order creation, tracking, and follow-ups. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company procurement policies.
  • Project Management Assistance: Provide logistical and administrative support to Project Managers to ensure smooth supplier integration into project schedules. Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of supplier interactions, contracts, and delivery timelines. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and generate regular reports for internal review.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, delivery delays, and quality issues. Support contingency planning efforts to minimize project disruptions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Purchasing and Supply Chain
