JOB SUMMARY

As a Subcontracts Architect Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership in the subcontract management team, that involves creating a clear vision that aligns with the company’s growth goals and developing scalable processes to handle increased contract demand. Strong relationships with key subcontractors are essential, fostering collaboration and establishing a preferred network that emphasizes quality and innovation. Continuous process improvement is prioritized through the implementation of best practices and standardized procedures for subcontractor management. Additionally, effective cost account management and stakeholder engagement are crucial for tracking project costs, preparing competitive proposals, and ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
This position’s internal job code is Contract Management Specialist. Our team is currently hiring for a level K.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience (working on Contracts or Subcontracts teams)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading complex subcontracts and scaling teams

SUMMARY PAY-RANGE

  • Level K: $123,250 - $181,250

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will perform a variety of functions, including identifying risks to contract execution, building redundancy for critical hardware procurements, and supporting supplier escalation communications
  • Create and articulate a clear vision of subcontract management that focusses on cost, schedule and technical management of key suppliers
  • Create make/buy framework for Subcontracts
  • Create strategic agreements that allow for better pricing and schedule with key suppliers (e.g., long-term agreements)
  • Serve as the voice of Subcontracts when working with cross-functional teams to assess how engineering and content changes might affect costs and contract timelines
  • Lead the Subcontracts team to collaborate and formulate Subcontract Management Teams (SMT) with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain to plan and execute programs
  • Report Subcontracts status and issues to Millennium senior leadership
