Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Subcontractor Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective identification, pre-qualification, resourcing, training, and support of subcontract companies to meet the operational delivery requirements of our key client. This service-based role demands a collaborative approach, working closely with operational delivery teams and the corporate Strategic Procurement Group to achieve defined outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Subcontractor Manager, you will:

Manage Sourcing and Onboarding:

  • Meet with operational representatives to understand regional trade and resource priorities, align these needs with the Procurement Strategy of the Resources & Supply Group, and review and expand existing subcontract capabilities. Proactively source new subcontract alternatives, obtain required company and employee details for system activation, promote the Contract’s opportunities, and guide prospective subcontractors through the Subcontract Document to ensure timely activation.

Provide Training and Support:

  • Deliver BGIS and Contract Specific Inductions to subcontractors and their staff, provide Advanced Procedures Training, mentor new subcontractors for retention and performance, and offer personalized support for non-docket related enquiries. Serve as an escalation point for unresolved issues impacting subcontractor performance.

Conduct Audits and Performance Management:
Conduct subcontract Business Audits to identify operational and administrative improvements or compliance failures, register issues and outcomes, run performance reports on timing, quality, safety, price, and administration, and provide recommendations on suspensions, deactivations, and expansion strategies.

ADDITIONAL ADMINISTRATION TASKS:

  • Conduct final compliance checks of Activation Files.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and timely activation within KPI timeframes.
  • Maintain key subcontractor records for compliance checks and audits.
  • Consistently achieve Performance Scorecard KPIs.Liaise with Avetta and Group Procurement to support subcontract requirements.
