QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a master’s degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience which may include research analysis, management or leadership in the field of research, relevant teaching and/or scholarship. The ideal incumbent brings experience in the public, not-for-profit and/or private sector with expertise in quantitative, qualitative and mixed method research methodologies The successful candidate will also have expertise and insight on industry standards and emerging technologies in research. Prior post-secondary teaching and/or curriculum development experience would be considered an asset, especially in an online environment.
The incumbent will have demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills, have strong analytical skills and an ability to prepare clear, concise and current project-related documentation and reports. Further, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.
The incumbent will work with others and will be required to build effective professional relationships in order to accomplish common team goals and objectives. They will also with a strategic focus and manage competing priorities to ensure that agreed-upon goals and project-related work is delivered on time and achieves desired goals. To do this, they will ensure deadlines are met, set priorities and balance changing or competing priorities.
This is a fully remote contract position.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES:

The Faculty of Liberal Studies & Professional and Part-time Learning are seeking to contract a subject-matter expert for the development of a proposed research analyst program. Reporting to the Associate Dean, Faculty of Liberal Studies and in collaboration with the program development team, the incumbent will leverage their experience in the field of research analysis to develop and prepare documentation for a proposed Ontario college credential. The incumbent will work independently and collaboratively with a team to meet deliverables to ensure the new program is current and leading-edge. The incumbent will work with the Centre of Teaching and Learning to ensure the program adheres to Ministry, institutional and regulatory requirements.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop a high-quality new academic program:
  • Ensure learning outcomes and the program of study adhere to institutional and Ministry priorities, including quality standards and applicable college policies, procedures and practices.
  • Participate in meetings with various collaborators to present and address inquiries regarding the proposed program.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise in order to develop a program description, program learning outcomes, course descriptions and learning outcomes, program of instruction, etc.
  • Contribute to the recruitment of program advisory committee members utilizing via professional networking and outreach.
  • Facilitate and report on focus groups, surveys, etc. with collaborators (i.e. employers, students, industry experts etc.). Respond to and amend documents as required to address internal and external feedback.
