Description:
The Global Governance team within Macquarie’s Legal and Governance Group supports Macquarie subsidiaries and nominee directors, providing advice on corporate governance, company law and internal policies.
This is 12-month contract.

What role will you play?
With global remit, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our subsidiary governance policy and support the interpretation and application of policy and associated standards. You will support and drive the implementation of intragroup agreements and practices. In addition, the development of training for governance teams and other stakeholders. This role will also see you focus on the uplift of our governance self-service portal.
What you offer
- 3+ years’ of experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge in company secretarial and corporate governance
- Currently hold or working towards a qualification as a lawyer or governance professional which may include a diploma from Governance Institute of Australia or Chartered Governance Institute
- Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to prioritise workloads and navigate conflicting requirements to effectively manage and deliver resultsDemonstrated continuous improvement focus, with a keen interest in emerging governance developments.
