About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting new opportunity for a Substations Training Team Leader to join our Technical Training Team in Scotland
Role purpose: To train and assess all activities associated with Substation requirements and set the standards. You will be a subject matter expert in the subject and lead on implementing a proven competence programme.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work with the Training Delivery Manager - to set the direction for the department in line with business goals and customer service values.
  • Support Operational teams to deliver high quality services - Training solutions to the business and identification of potential solutions for Training.
  • Ensure high quality Training is delivered working seamlessly with the centre and Operational teams, aligned to business targets.
  • Ensure legal compliance for the business within a framework of business improvement and a satisfying working environment.
  • To support the Training Administrators
  • Work with and advise areas of spend vs. Budget
  • To be aware of leading edge thinking and practice in Training and take the lead in introducing new ideas with the Training Manager
  • To facilitate and maintain effective communication links with the Operation teams and training centres
  • Promote Power Training delivery and services that we can offer
  • To benchmark Training against the best external organisations and lead the transfer of best practice into Training and the Organisation with the Training Manager.
  • To promote a professional image at all time in support of the companies and department values
  • To ensure that you develop your capabilities through continuing professional
  • To carryout any additional responsibilities from time to time in line with business needs
