Job Description Summary
This is a recruitment for a short-term/temporary position. This recruitment will be open until the position is filled. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning October 28, 2024.
The preferred schedule for the selected candidate is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Exceptional customer service delivery techniques;
Organization and function of an educational institution;
Receptionist and telephone etiquette and techniques;
Records keeping practices and procedures;
Office methods and practices including filing systems;
Current technologies, personal computer, and associated office software such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and/or database software;
Correct usage of English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; and
District policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Answer the main phone line, direct calls and visitors to appropriate personnel
Greet office and building visitors with courtesy and tact;
Perform complex office support work for the administrators and confidential employees;
Maintain directory of college employees;
Provide information about general college services;
Schedule interviews, meetings, and workshops;
Operate standard office equipment;
Utilize the District’s integrated software in performing the required duties of this position;
Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: Required
Graduation from high school;
Preferred
Associate degree
Experience: Required
Answering phones in an educational, business, or professional setting;
Customer service
Office operations
Preferred
Three years of increasingly responsible clerical/receptionist experience;
