We are currently seeking energetic and compassionate Substitute Educators to support our mission and ensure that our students receive consistent, high-quality care and education.
Job Overview: As a Substitute Educator at CEFA Early Learning, you will step into various classroom settings to provide a seamless educational experience in the absence of the regular educator. Your role will include implementing lesson plans, engaging with children through interactive activities, and maintaining a supportive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate at minimum
  • Prior experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
  • Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work on an as-needed basis.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow and deliver pre-planned lesson plans, adapting activities as needed to meet the needs of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and CEFA staff.
  • Document and report any incidents or concerns to the regular educator or school administration.
  • Foster a love of learning through creative, play-based activities that align with CEFA’s educational philosophy.
