Job Description
Our Environmental Co-op Student will have the opportunity to work within our growing Earth and Environment team in Ontario. They will participate and support projects as a part of our Geoscience team and will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from our hydrogeologists, environmental professionals, engineers, and field technicians. The team’s work focuses on hydrogeological investigations, environmental due diligence, environmental monitoring, as well as brownfield and site re-development.

Qualifications

  • Student presently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in environmental science, earth science, or environmental engineering
  • Team player and ability to work within a diverse team
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Access to a vehicle
  • Valid Canadian Driver’s Licenc

Responsibilities:

  • Fieldwork including soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, borehole drilling and monitoring well installation, aquifer testing, and contractor oversight.
  • Data entry and data management – including field and laboratory analytical data.
  • Data analysis - including soil and groundwater data, tables, and figures.
  • Assist in technical report writing and proposal preparation.

The salary for this position ranges from $22.00 to $24.15 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
