Codes1) and Standards unit is a networked expert function supporting KONE globally in ensuring that all our solutions and services are fulfilling legal requirements and are state-of-art in safety. We are actively present in international forums, following codes and developing standards for globally harmonized and safe products. Codes and Standards unit also supports concept creation and product development teams in making innovative solutions.

We are now looking for a
SUMMER TRAINEE, CODES AND STANDARDS
to work in Codes and Standards Unit, supporting the team in its daily work. The tasks are much to do with handling information and data. Those will include for example:
- Maintaining codes and standards information in products requirement management tool
- Generating reports on product component traceability data
- Maintaining product risk assessment related information in data management systems
- Assisting in developing and/or working with Gen AI use cases.
You would be working in our Espoo and Hyvinkää offices in Finland. Remote working part time is possible as the whole unit is working on hybrid mode. Working at the office is required based on need, also considered meaningful in order to get to know the team, people and KONE better.
We are looking for a student with around 50 % of B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies completed in engineering, business or law. You should start with us no later than end of May, 2025, with an approximate duration of three months.
Responsibilities:
IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
Proficient use of basic MS Office tools, Teams, SharePoint are a must. Additional skills in data and/or requirement management software are a definite asset. Fluency with Gen AI tools is an asset. You should also be fluent in writing reports and communication materials in English.
We are looking for personal traits of systematic approach, concentration and persistence on tasks requiring attention to detail. Interest in learning about codes, standards and safety risk management will make the traineeship more insightful.
