Description:
HYBRID WORKING
We’re always looking for bright, talented people who can add something special to our organisation. And in return, we will develop you to achieve your potential. As a firm, we focus on legal work that makes a difference to people’s lives. So we tend to attract people who want to do some good, as well as enjoy a rewarding career in a leading law firm.
From health to housing, regulators to emergency services, we’re looking for graduates who want to be part of a team that makes a difference to people’s lives.
We are offering 15 places on our summer vacation scheme across our Birmingham, London and Leeds offices, taking place between 23 June and 4 July 2025. We’ll give you the opportunity to undertake real work as well as learning more about the legal departments and the firm with our people. Throughout the scheme, we’ll be assessing you for a place on one of our Training Contracts.
Your placement will be in one/two of our legal teams where you’ll work on a range of tasks. Throughout your time with us, we’ll support you with a supervisor, and you’ll get constructive feedback on what you’re doing well and how you could be even better. As well as spending time with a legal team, the two weeks will also include:
- training and development activities and a project to help you build/develop your skills
- opportunities to meet with our trainee solicitors, partners, associates and central business services colleagues (including our Diversity and Inclusion team)
- talks from our departments so you can find out more about the firm, the work we do and our clients.
Candidates should have:
- At least a predicted 2:1 undergraduate degree
Candidates should be aware:
- The earliest you can apply is in the penultimate year of a law degree (or equivalent), or the final year of a non-law degree. We welcome applications from graduates and career changers.
- As part of the assessment process there will be an application form, a video screening and an in person assessment centre day details of which will be provided to those candidates the firm invites to the assessment. The firm is only able to offer feedback to candidates we call for Assessment Centre.
- Candidates can only be considered for the vacation scheme in one location per application cycle so please choose your preferred location.
Responsibilities:
- training and development activities and a project to help you build/develop your skills
- opportunities to meet with our trainee solicitors, partners, associates and central business services colleagues (including our Diversity and Inclusion team)
- talks from our departments so you can find out more about the firm, the work we do and our clients
