Description:

Tlicho Engineering & Environmental Services (TEES) is 100% owned by the Tlicho Investment Corporation (TIC). We are currently seeking candidates for a challenging and rewarding Superintendent role throughout the Tlicho region in the Northwest Territories.
Reporting to the TEES Senior Project Manager, the Superintendent will oversee equipment operator/labour crews on applicable projects, ensuring efficient and safe operations, working to established work plans, and crew management/scheduling.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role; preferably in the field of civil construction/winter road constructions/maintenance with a minumum of 5 years at a Superintendent level.
Demonstrated knowledge of winter road construction along with heavy civil experience.
Knowledgeable in all facets of repair work.
Ability to review, apply and enforce safety protocols, procedures and practices
Minimum of 10 years’ experience operating heavy equipment to include Grader, Snow Cat, Plow Truck, Loader
Excellent communication skills
Excellent leadership skills
Demonstrated flexibility
Comfort and experience working in extreme weather climates
Ability to work and lead in a culturally-sensitive work environment
Strong computer skills (MS Office suite of applications)
Class 1 or 3 Driver’s license required
NWT Supervisory Level I or II certification required
