Description:
The Opportunity
Altrad is currently in search of experienced Superintendent specializing in Coatings to become a vital part of our team at a prominent Construction Project situated in Kitimat, BC. This role entails a 14:7 roster (or 20:8 roster – depending on the point of hire), working 10 hours per day. Flights and accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates on a Full-Time/Fixed-Term Contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all coating processes meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. The Coatings Superintendent will lead a team of Painter/Blasters & Supervisors to achieve high-quality, durable coatings that protect our assets and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution of coating schedules.
- Provide technical oversight on coatings selection, application methods, and quality control.
- Supervise and mentor a team of supervisors and craft with daily activities .
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare progress reports.
- Optimize resource allocation and manage project budgets effectively.
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards in all coating activities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the coatings team.
