We’re hiring a traveling Superintendent for the commissioning of connectivity systems in Marine and Energy Installations. This is to ensure assets under the agreement will be sending data to the cloud, enabling digital services for our global customers.
The preferred location for the position is in Vaasa but also Helsinki and Turku in Finland are possible locations. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

AS SUPERINTENDENT, CONNECTIVITY, YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Led the on-site work to ensure timely and efficient cloud connectivity of assets.
• Traveling to the site, install and test Wärtsilä delivered data collection devices.
• Build, test, and troubleshoot TCP/IP and serial communication networks.
• Provide commissioning support and guidance to field technicians.
• Write service work reports.
• Maintain expertise in existing products and future technologies.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests.
• Provide feedback for product improvements.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

• Vocational/BSc. in Electrical/Automation/IT and more than 5 years work experience in relevant field.
• Hands-on experience of electrical installations.
• A strong understanding of computer networking, including routing and firewalling.
• Availability to travel frequently and on short notice.
• High level of independence, decisiveness, and communication.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• It´s considered an advantage to:
• Have experience from working in the field at customer sites.
• Have expertise in OT networks.
